I grew up spending summers on the family farm in southwest Ontario, baking with my Grandma using only all-natural, high-quality ingredients. 

In 2011, inspired by my upbringing, I opened Lazy Daisy’s Café – now an iconic brunch destination renowned for its farm-to-table breakfasts, pancakes and award-winning buttermilk biscuits.

When you sit down to enjoy Lazy Daisy’s Buttermilk Biscuits we hope you, your friends and your family experience that same feeling of home-baked happiness I felt on the farm.

Dawn Chapman - Founder & CEO of Lazy DAisy's Cafe and Lazy Daisy Foods

She has worked in the food industry since she was 12 years old, has made documentary films in Yemen, taught English and Entrepreneurship in the UK and Finland as well as opened and sold her own chain of bagel cafes. In 2021, it was a tremendous honor for her to be asked by the Toronto Blue Jays to throw the ceremonial opening pitch as a representative of small businesses. In 2024, Dawn was named by the Women’s Executive Network as one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women in the Food Industry. She is a proud member of Canadian Women in Food and an avid supporter of community.
